Sibley Fleming

Sibley Fleming is an American journalist and writer of children's literature and adult non-fiction. She was named Outstanding Writer of 2000 by the National League of American Pen Women and the Georgia Writer of the Year by Georgia Writers.[1]

Biography

Fleming was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and attended Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana, on a music scholarship. She has worked as a feature writer and freelance weekly columnist for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and managing editor for National Real Estate Investor magazine (2005–2010). She is now the national editor for real estate publications at Bisnow.[2]

Fleming has written and edited seven books, including How to Rock Your Baby, for which she received the 1997 Family Channel Seal of Quality.[3] In 2000, she was named Outstanding Writer by the National League of American Pen Women and was named Georgia Author of the Year by Georgia Writers for her book, Celestine Sibley: A Granddaughter's Reminiscence, about her grandmother, a well-known Atlanta reporter and newspaper columnist for more than three decades.[1]

Fleming and her husband, a professional geologist and environmental consultant, reside in Avondale Estates, Georgia, where she serves on the vestry of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church.[3] They have two sons.[2]
